As part of the IUGA Meeting which was held on June 28 through July 2 in Lisbon (Portugal), Promedon has launched into the market the new generation of Pelvic Organ Prolapse (POP) repair solutions:Calistar Single Incision POP Repair System.
In 2010, as part of the ICS-IUGA Meeting, the first clinical results obtained after the treatments performed using Calistar were released. At the IUGA Meeting held this year, we have presented more clinical evidence supporting the effectiveness of this product which comes in two versions: Calistar A and Calistar P.
The following are some of the main characteristics of this new solution for POP:

Single-incision vaginal approach.

Reduced time required for surgery, hospitalization and patient recovery.

Combined control of anterior prolapse and SUI associated to Calistar A Single Incision POP Repair System.

Improved design for the repair of a wide variety of prolapses/defects.
With this release, Promedon has entered the segment of single incision implants for prolapse treatment and has become one of the three companies worldwide to offer this new generation of products. Besides, we continue adding innovative solutions to our portfolio of products for Women’s Health segment, which has consolidated as the most complete one in the market.
